Holiday Magic Restorative Yoga Class

Magic /'majik/ n. the power of influencing events using (super)natural forces... like your breath and your pose. Grab the couch cushions and a cozy blanket, throw in an eye pillow or a clean wash cloth, and get ready for some holiday magic relaxation. This is one you can do with the kids, your bestie or your auntie (the final two postures can be done on a bed, couch or recliner for folks who don't want to get down and up from floor). We'll start with breath awareness in cat-dog pose and add motion for a sacral pump, just to feel the motion through our whole bodies. After a few breaths in low squat pose, we'll add some movement and inward turning by alternating between squat and forward fold - only bend your knees as far as you'd like. The final two poses are luxuriating restorative poses. First, reclining bound angle (over cushions or bolsters with arms, head and knees supported on blankets or pillows) and a gift meditation - a gift from yourself, to yourself (you might surprise yourself!). Ending with a long Savasanahhhh! and blue light meditation creating a magical connection between your heart and the vast network of love reaching out through space and time.
